Madame Kaos
Madame Kaos is a poetry group formed in 2007 by the contemporary Brazilian female poets Beatriz Provasi, Juliana Hollanda and Marcela Giannini, with countless spoken word performances on their path.
In 2011, the group was invited to perform at SESC Copacabana, at the event A Palavra Toda (The Whole Word), curated by poet Chacal and literary critic Heloisa Buarque de Hollanda, great references in the Brazilian poetic scene.
The group was born on the stage of CEP 20.000 - Centro de Experimentação Poética (Poetic Experimentation Center), iconic spoken word gathering in Rio de Janeiro, at Espaço Cultural Sérgio Porto. Since then, this powerful trio has performed at several events, such as Corujão da Poesia, Versos da meia-noite, Ratos di Versos, Caldo Cultural, Projeto Mapa, Geringonça etc.
On another occasion, Madame Kaos shared the stage of SESC Tijuca with the pop icon Fausto Fawcett, and on many occasions with the great musician Arnaldo Brandão as their guest. They also performed with guest musicians and poets such as Guto Beluco, Oswaldo Coyote and Adriana Monteiro de Barros.
Provasi, Brandão and the great poet and songwriter Tavinho Paes have jointly produced dozens of events at Estúdio Hanói since 2010, creating a steady stage for Madame Kaos' performances and experimentations. This partnership was not shaken even with Provasi's move to Denmark. Once a year, the Hanói event takes place during Provasi's vacation in Brazil.
In 2020, Juliana left the group, that continues with the duo of childhood BFF Provasi & Giannini orchestrating the Kaos.
