As guerras nos porta-retratos (The Wars in the Picture Frames)
As guerras nos porta-retratos (The Wars in the Picture Frames) (2014) is the fourth poetry book by Beatriz Provasi, composed of poems and photographs. Its publication is an outcome of the artist's research on the relationship between aesthetics and politics stemming from the events of June 2013, resonating with her research on body and poetry. The poet's body is present, albeit with the masking of authorship. The book also includes photos of actions by the artist from the series Poetic Vandalism in stencils and graffiti on city walls, as well as other actions within the context of the events. Stencils and graffiti were created with the support of graffiti artist Roma, and photos were taken in collaboration with photographer Marcelo Valle. The graphic design was done in partnership with Tavinho Paes.
